"I have known Master Teresa Kendall since she began Taekwondo training at 9 years old. As a student she always applied herself 100% to her training and never shied away from a challenge. As she matured into a young lady her competitiveness began to take over and success was quick to arrive. Rarely did she fail to triumph in the tournaments that she entered. When she began teaching it soon became clear that she would apply herself equally diligently to the progress of her students. Each time I visit to assess those students I am reminded that both she and her husband Darren Kendall are fully committed to bringing out the very best in each student. They are intent upon helping every person that joins their Martial Arts Academy, become the best that they can be. This may result in the student becoming a champion but equally may simply result in them becoming confident or well co-ordinated. If you are looking for a place to develop skills for life, I cannot recommend 'Kendojo' highly enough." Master Richard Vince 6th Dan, Former World Kickboxing Champion.
To Sensei Darren and Teresa Kendall, I would just like to take this opportunity to say a very big thankyou for all of your hard work and dedication with my daughter Tanieka, and for the wonderful work that you have done with her in the "Brain Dojo" classes. The progress that she has made since she started your classes 6 months ago is wonderful, to say the least, and this is most noticeable at school. Tanieka's difficulties in relation to her dyspraxia have in the past meant that she found gross movement difficult and things like balance and co-ordination were very difficult for her. Any form of exercise was unpleasurable, however, now she is doing so well that she no longer needs physiotherapy intervention. Most of all she truly enjoys exercise and practising hers Katas. I'm sure that I speak for most parents that have children with special needs when I say that, often our children miss out and don't always get the opportunity to reach their full potential. Finding opportunities to do this in such a small town is no mean feat. The Brain Dojo program that you provide for these children is absolutely wonderful. It allows children with special needs to reach their own potential in a way that is best for them. Most importantly they can achieve the same standard of skills as most other children. Once again, on behalf of myself, my husband and of course Tanieka, may we say thank you and keep up the good work! Mrs. Needham
